Offline Route Booking System

01 / The Challenge & Problem

Booking a cab in high-altitude terrain with minimal internet connection is extremely difficult. Himalayan Cabs needed an offline-first app for drivers and passengers to queue and coordinate rides without relying on continuous cell networks.

02 / Discovery & Research

Field research confirmed that connectivity drops to zero on mountain passes. Drivers needed an app that stores geographical coordinates and synchronization tokens locally, sending queued bookings only when cell tower access returns.

03 / Construction & Development

Implemented offline database queue handlers that automatically upload local modifications once signal strength goes above thresholds. Coded custom map overlay algorithms to guide drivers even in deadzones.
